Expectations
Our group, the Sharpie People, would like to achieve a 15% increase in our portfolio. To do this, we are going to be on a fine line between conservative and aggressive. We are going to invest in a couple “sizzlers,” but mostly steadily increasing and well-known companies. We are going to focus on technology companies because that industry has great potential for gain. It is also a big risk because many technology companies are very new and the first of their kind. We are going to keep our money relatively distributed evenly among our stocks as a cushion if one stock falls drastically. We may short sell a couple companies, for instance, technology companies that do not have a good outlook in the future. We hope to learn how to effectively buy stocks based on their backgrounds and how to recognize events that may signal a stock to go up or down.
